Which vibe coding tool
should you start with?

Lovable or Base44. Both let you describe an app in plain English and never ask you to touch code. Lovable is the better pick when you want a polished app with logins and a database. Base44 suits simple apps and internal tools, because logins, a database and hosting are already built in.

Lovable keeps you in a chat and focuses on getting a good-looking full app working with little fuss. Bolt shows you the code in your browser while it builds, so it suits quick experiments and people who want to see and edit what the AI wrote.

When you want to learn to code or need more control. Replit gives you a real coding environment in your browser, with a server, a database and an AI agent, so it handles backend-heavy apps well. It asks a little more of you than Lovable or Base44.

Interfaces. v0 is the strongest of the five for landing pages and polished screens, and it writes standard React and Next.js code you can take to your own editor. Pick something else if logins and saved data are the main job.

All five have a free plan, with limits. Lovable: 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month. Bolt: 1 million tokens a month, up to 300,000 a day. Replit: Daily Agent credits for smaller builds, and 1 published app that stays up for 30 days. v0: 7 messages a day, plus $5 in one-time credits for new users. Base44: 25 message credits a month, up to 5 a day. Checked November 2026, and these change often, so confirm on each tool's pricing page.
